    Biography

    I’m Maia, a 31-year-old writer who has been crafting stories since the age of 10. This was mostly fanfiction at the time. Now it is original stories and ideas.

    My journey began with writing in Dutch and has since evolved to include works in English. When I’m not immersed in my writing, you can find me indulging in my other passions: reading, photography, website design, and pixel art.

    My favorite genres to read and write are Romance, (Urban) Fantasy, Thriller, Mystery and the occasional fanfiction.

    Let’s get to know more of me! 

    • Coffee or Tea: I can’t sleep due to caffeine, so Hot Chocolate or Pepsi Zero.
    • Morning dove or night owl:I used to be a night owl, but now I’m always tired. 
    • Introvert or extravert: I’m neither and both I guess. When I’m around the right people I can be a social butterfly, but would not mind spending time home alone.
    • Favorite season: Oof, I like all seasons. Each season has its own unique vibe that I love. But Spring/Summer is probably higher on the list at the moment.
    • Tourist places or local places: Both! I like to see the popular tourist cities, but can fall in love with the local cities and villages more. There’s something pitoreske about local villages that you can’t find in the big touristy cities. 
    • Would you survive a horror movie? Yes and no. Yes because I am a doom thinker. I would observe all escape routes and plan out my “what would I do if something happens here”. But also no, because I would get a heart attack/get scared so bad that I’d die on the spot…
    • Slow burn or instant attraction? Slow-burn
    • Music on or silence: Definitely music on. 
    • Redemption arc or irredeemable villain? Always the redemption arc. 
    • Plotter or pantser? Definitely a plotter!
    • Happy ending or emotional devastation? Both!
